Planned Full Day Closure for a Holiday - Turning off online ordering and third party ordering platforms

Planned Full Day Closure for a Holiday - Turning off online ordering and third party ordering platforms

Overview

Whether it's a holiday or a planned day in the future, there are times you might want to temporarily prevent orders from coming in for an entire day. In order to do so, you need to adjust settings in all of the relevant platforms where customers can order. Those platforms are:
  1. Incentivio (Orders on zeekspizza.com and the Zeeks App)
  2. Doordash
  3. Uber Eats
  4. Grubhub
  5. Toast Takeout App
Below are instructions and best practices on how to appear 'closed' for a given day, while also staying open today and allowing a customer to place a scheduled order for a different day.

Incentivio (aka orders on Zeekspizza.com and the Zeeks Pizza App)

How to turn off Pickup Orders
  1. Log in to the Incentivio backend
  2. Click Setup
  3. Click Store Ordering Setup
  4. Choose your location
  5. In the Pickup section DON'T make adjustments to the following:
    1. Pickup Orders Accepted: DON'T uncheck the box. Leaving this box checked will allow for future orders to be placed during closure, and also bring Incentivio ordering back online automatically the next day at the scheduled time
    2. Order Pickup Hours: DON'T change this.
  6. In the Days Pickup Unavailable section, click the calendar icon.
  7. Click the date you will be closed
  8. Click Add. The date should now be listed underneath.
  9. Click Save at the bottom of the screen.
  10. To check your work, go to zeekspizza.com and attempt to schedule an order for the day of your planned closure. If you did it correctly, you won't be able to start you order.

***Most stores do not have this feature enabled, as it is not recommended by Zeeks. If you're wondering if your location has this enabled, reach out on slack.

The following instructions will allow you to appear closed to customers on a specific day, while still allowing a customer to place future orders for other days. These settings also ensure that you will automatically be back 'open' on the day after closure.
  1. Log into toasttab.com
  2. Go to Takeout & Delivery
  3. Go to Online Ordering Hours
  4. Scroll down and click Add Override
  5. Enter the date you'll be closed and check the Closed all Day box
  6. Click Add
  7. Click Publish All Changes

Additional note: Leave all Online Ordering ON (see below):

Instead, enter full day or partial overrides (see below), making sure to select all affected dining behaviors (you must publish your changes for them to take effect):
