What does 'Hybrid Delivery' mean?
- Hybrid delivery is when you deliver some orders with your own Zeeks Pizza delivery drivers and some are outsourced to 3rd party delivery drivers.
Why do locations choose to do 'Hybrid Delivery'?
- They may be having issues being able to fully staff their own driver fleet.
- They may be mostly outsourcing their deliveries to a third party but want to still be able to deliver specific orders themselves (large orders, priority customers, etc.).
- The restaurant may become too busy on a particular shift for you own Zeeks Pizza delivery drivers to keep up. Utilizing a third party for a short time period can allow your own drivers to be able to catch up while the restaurant can continue to deliver orders to customers without having to raise quotes times.
What are some complications that locations encounter when doing 'Hybrid Delivery'?
- Timed orders that are placed when you have 3rd party outsourcing turned on will auto trigger a 3rd party driver even when the order is to be delivered when you will be using your own Zeeks Pizza delivery drivers.
- Timed orders that are placed when you have 3rd party outsourcing turned off will not auto trigger a 3rd party driver even when the order is to be delivered when you are outsourcing deliver to 3rd party delivery drivers.
What are the solutions to the above complications?
- You can cancel the call for a 3rd party driver, for any order, through the Doordash or Uber Direct portals.
- You can request a 3rd party driver, for any order, through the Doordash or Uber Direct portals.
- If you are actively doing 'Hydrid Delivery' on a regular basis, ZTECH does recommend using a platform called Shipday (more info below) that integrates with our existing platforms.
