Differential Delivery Pricing Rollout - What you and the crew need to know

What is differential delivery pricing?

Differential delivery pricing means that when a customer places a direct delivery order, the price of each item is different than if it were a dine in or pick up order.

Will there be new sections and buttons in the POS?

There will be new menu sections in the POS. They are clearly labeled as DELIVERY.  Below is an example of what it will look like, notice the buttons that are colored blue and labeled DEL.

Does every single menu item and modifier have a differential delivery price?

Only the base prices of pizzas, salads, and breadsticks have differential delivery prices. All other things on the menu have the normal price (e.g. pizza toppings, side cups, etc.).

As a crew member, do I have to do anything differently when a customer orders delivery?

Phone Deliveries
When taking a phone order, you will need to add pizzas, salads, and breadsticks from the DELIVERY sections.

Zeekspizza.com and Zeeks App
The customer will automatically see the appropriate price when they order. However, if they call in and ask to add things to their order, make sure to add from the appropriate DELIVERY section

What if a customer ordered Pick Up online, and they call in and want to change their order to a Delivery?

This is a tricky situation because the customer's order will already be entered into the system using regular pricing, and their payment has already been taken and processed. Talk to your manager about how you will handle this. Your options include:
  1. Don't charge the customer the delivery pricing
    1. Find the order in the POS
    2. Change the dining option from 'App - Pick Up'  to  'Phone Order - Delivery'
    3. Get the customer's delivery information
    4. Proceed as normal
  1. Inform the customer of the different pricing for delivery, and swap out the existing items for the same items at the delivery price
    1. Find the order in the POS
    2. Change the dining option from 'App - Pick Up'  to  'Phone Order - Delivery'
    3. Get the customer's delivery information
